Instagram post 2120133628817114271_3210973102 Gender roles are beautiful ❤️ They are the definition of male and female teamwork, the fine line between order and chaos. There should be a balance of the natural male and natural female characteristics that we were created with: the man as a leader, provider and protector, and the woman as a helper, caretaker and nurturer. There is absolutely nothing wrong with adhering to these roles. They are ingrained in your biology. We are not made to be cynical, stressed, or even be competing with men.🙅 We should WORK with men, not AGAINST them. We are here to help them, to support their role as a masculine man (especially as a partner in a relationship), and in a time when many men have been feminized and pushed back for being otherwise by modern day feminism. Embrace your femininity, embrace what nature has given you, and a true man will embrace his masculine role.
Instagram post 2109990047360130503_3210973102 "Authentic femininity is a combination of class, tenderness, and virtue. When a woman possesses these traits, a man will naturally want to be more of a gentleman around her." - Jason Evert
Instagram post 2083045175176793581_3210973102 I get emails, comments, and messages every week from young women from all over. Many of these messages start out the same. "I found your blog and it's so nice to know I'm not alone in being a housewife!", "It's so cool that you can be a stay-at-home wife without kids. I want that, too!", & "Thank you for being such an inspiration!", followed by some questions and asking for advice. It's such an incredible feeling knowing I am reaching out to women and letting them know that they aren't alone, that their lifestyle choices are valid and accepted, even if society, friends, or family may not be as supportive. I thought, "I need to get these women together and show them they really are not alone, that there is a community out there." And so I'm making this idea happen and started a Facebook group - Traditional Girl's in a Modern World❤️

Instagram post 2078612221176440157_3210973102 Happy 2 year anniversary, to my best friend and true love 😘 Cheers to another year of growth, love and adventure, struggle and trial, and knowing that whatever life throws at us, good or bad, we have each other ❤️ Can't wait to see what year 3 and the Lord has planned for us.
Instagram post 2074394181039766818_3210973102 Sassy, yet classy 🐈
Instagram post 2073008786917895464_3210973102 Ugh, I fell back into some of my bad sleeping habits this past week 🛌 I really shouldn't have had that coffee☕ that day...🤦 Must invest in a good decaf whenever I begin craving an iced coffee 🙄 But that's okay!! It's all good! I just got myself back into my sleeping routine and continue to use @rusticslumberco products to help me sleep. If you're like me, you're gonna wanna check out her site, and read my newest blog post if you wanna find out how to get a better night's rest! Link in bio❤️
Instagram post 2072101772402369950_3210973102 🌟Honesty Minute:🌟 I'll be honest here - my husband and I don't split the household chores 50/50. 🤷 What?!?! I know, shocking! But it's really not 😂 Not bashing on couples who do, especially if both individuals work outside the home. But when hubby works hard all day and wants to come home and relax, eat, and go to sleep, the one thing I don't do when he walks through the door, is bombard him with a list of tasks he needs to get done. He is the sole bread winner 💵 in the family, and he works 8-12 hour days🕖 I'm not gonna make him do laundry, dishes, vacuum, walk the dog, garden, and various other chores once he gets home, because it's "his turn" or "we share the house"🏠 Of course we share the house, we both live in it, duh 🙄 But my job as a homemaker is to run my household, so I do a majority of the household chores. Does that mean he does nothing? Absolutely not! 🙅 He DOES contribute and has HIS OWN tasks that only he can do, that are his responsibility to complete, but on his own time. And he does offer to help me out when he can or takes over a task if I need to do something else. Otherwise, no, we don't share 50/50 in the housework. And that's okay. I don't feel like a slave, nor do I get mad that he doesn't "contribute". We know our jobs and our roles, and we found a balance that works for us. And in my opinion, is a partial reason for the success of our marriage. So please don't feel bad for us homemaker's who tidy, cook, organize, take care of our fur babies, raise our little humans, and all the other little things we do every day. Don't think we're oppressed or controlled, or that our husbands are lazy and don't do anything. We truly love the work we do and put into our homes and families. It's our job, and to some of us, our calling in life 😊
Instagram post 2071644616368748309_3210973102 Matt: "Quick, take the picture before she runs away again!!" 🙈📸 Me and the loves of my life 😘😍🐕
Instagram post 2068563353940339693_3210973102 There are so many reasons why my husband and I decided it was best for me to stay home full-time, but one of the main reasons is because I can spend more time cooking and baking healthy meals 🥗🍲 I remember working and coming home so, so, so tired, just dead exhausted💀😴, and even if I was starving, I would more often then not just pass out and nap for 3-4 hours instead of eat. This was not a once or twice a week occurence, this would be every day, and it was very unhealthy and not normal😣 When I was engaged, thinking about my role as a wife, I couldn't imagine working outside the home and having to come home and cook dinner, clean the kitchen, make lunches for the next day, etc. Realistically, it was NOT going to happen 🙅, no matter how much I wish I could be super woman and do it all. My husband works long days too, so there was no way that he would have the energy to cook and clean as well. We knew neither of us would want to do that, and that instead we would order in a lot or eat unhealthy, easy convenient food. By staying home, I have ample time to cook various dishes from scratch, make lunch, prep breakfast, meal plan dinners, and once in awhile bake a dessert. I've recently taken up making homemade jam and bread 🍞, and can't wait to learn canning and fermenting next, using all the fresh veggies growing from our garden. Being a homemaker means I'm able to aquire new skills, learn new recipes, and look out for my family's health and well-being every day. This is why I do what I do, and I love it ❤️🙌
